B401 is used, after harvesting honey, when storing the frames (honeycomb racks). A single application achieves 100% efficiency against the wax moth, which is maintained until the racks are re-installed in the following season. B401 removes only the young larva from the wax moth, and should therefore be used as a preventative element, i.e. before the honeycombs are infected.
AMOUNT OF SOLUTION
For the control of wax moth up to 100%, 1.5 ml of solution should be applied per 10 square centimeters of honeycomb, on both sides of the frame. The guide below can make it easier to calculate the amount of B401 that is needed.
